Summary
Purobuild are excited to be working with a passive fire consultancy dedicated to ensuring the safety and integrity of buildings through comprehensive fire safety and compartmentation surveys. They pride themselves on delivering high-quality services to clientsand are seeking a skilled and motivated Compartmentation Surveyor to join the team in Warrington.
As a Compartmentation Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in assessing and documenting the fire compartmentation of buildings, ensuring compliance with current fire safety regulations.
Your responsibilities will include
- Conducting detailed compartmentation surveys on a variety of buildings, including commercial, residential, and industrial properties.
- Identifying and reporting on breaches or deficiencies in fire compartments, fire doors, and other passive fire protection measures.
- Providing clear and concise reports, including photographic evidence and recommendations for remedial action.
- Collaborating with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to communicate findings and advise on necessary improvements.
- Staying up-to-date with current fire safety legislation and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site inspections to assess fire compartmentation and passive fire protection measures.
- Create comprehensive survey reports detailing findings and recommendations.
- Liaise with clients to explain survey results and provide expert advice.
- Keep abreast of changes in fire safety regulations and standards.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Compartmentation Surveyor or similar role in fire safety.
- Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations and building codes.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to produce clear, detailed, and accurate reports.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications in fire safety or a related field are desirable.
