Are you kind and caring, with a passion for helping others? Would you enjoy a role supporting and inspiring others in sports, swimming and leading a healthy lifestyle?

If so, United Response wants to hear from you! We are looking for a supportive and compassionate Female Sports Enabler to join our ROC Active team in Paignton. You will be working alongside adults with various learning and physical disabilities, enabling and empowering them according to their needs.

Who We Are

United Response is a registered charity, founded in 1973, whose mission is to ensure that individuals with learning disabilities, mental or physical support needs have the opportunity to live their lives to the full. We support around 2000 people in over 300 locations across England and Wale, and employ over 3,600 staff.

ROC Active, a part of United Response, is a service dedicated to offering a range of activities for the people we support. This includes access to a fully-equipped gym with support from trained staff; multi-sport sessions including cricket, rounders and boccia; swimming sessions; and summer walking groups in the surrounding areas.

What We’re Looking For

United Response is keen to hear from applicants who are friendly and compassionate, with a genuine desire to help others. You will be a confident swimmer and able to work in water. Experience working in a sport or fitness role, and/or a Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Sports and Fitness is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

What to Expect
You will be working as part of our ROC Active team to support and inspire people we support, focusing on their ability and not their disability. You will be responsible for demonstrating the benefits of exercise and supporting people to work towards leading a healthy lifestyle. You will deliver personal care when required, with dignity and respect.

This position is for 32.5 hours per week.
