Summary

GDAS is looking for an Archive Assistant to sort, document and archive files within their Drug and Alcohol Services in Gwent. This role is full time however, we also welcome applications from people seeking family friendly hours and/or flexible/Part time working. Full on the job training will be provided. The archiver may also be asked to do connected administrative tasks when they need to be done. Skills/Competencies required: Excellent communication skills Able to learn quickly Good typing speed Able to retain important information Good organisational skills Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and good computer skills Previous experience of working within an office environment (desirable) Ability to work to deadlines Flexible and hardworking Person Specification Criteria Essential Desirable Qualifications Maths and English GSCE pass. ICT Qualifications particularly around use of Microsoft Excel. Training, Knowledge & Experience Proven ability to network and build professional relationships. Experience of administrative work. Familiarity with Microsoft 365. Experience of working in an office environment. Knowledge about substance misuse and Knowledge of Data Protection and confidentiality. Driving licence. Intrapersonal & Interpersonal Skills Empathic Credible Personal drive Quality & Compliance Focus Organised & Structured in approach to work Ability to work autonomously Personal Attributes Demonstrable alignment with GDAS values (above) GDAS may consider the appointment of a candidate who is unable to meet a particular requirement if they offer other skills, knowledge, or experience valuable to the role and the host Organisation.
