Summary

We are looking for a worker to join our Gateshead SENDIASS Team, the role will be as a young people's worker (Project worker 2) to work 7.4 hours a week for our Gateshead SENDIAS Service.

The Project worker 2 is responsible for representing the Gateshead SENDIAS Service as required within the SEN Code of Practice 2015 and Children's & Families Act 2014.

The role is to engage with children and young people aged up to 25 yrs old with Special educational needs and/or a disability and provide impartial information, advice and support to their parents when required.

You will need knowledge and understanding of SEND.

You will have experience of working with children/young people with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities and their parents/carers.
You must be able to communicate accurately, confidently and effectively with children/young people and parents/carers of children who have a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities, in an objective and non-judgemental manner.
You will have a desire to learn.
You will be joining a welcoming and supportive team.
