Summary
Key Responsibilities
This role will support Porterbrook with the continued integration and utilisation of Digital Technology across our asset base
The role will work directly with our internal and external customers to help embed new systems into business processes. The role will lead on the analysis of any remote condition monitoring data available across our asset base and help translate this into proactive maintenance interventions
The overall objective of the role is to drive tangible benefits from Porterbrook’s continued investment in Digital Technology
Responsibilities
Analyse the output of Remote Condition Monitoring (RCM) systems, translating data into action across all of Porterbrook’s digitally enabled assets
Working with our engineering team and our customers to implement maintenance events as determined by the RCM data
Be the focal point for our customer interaction on the day-to-day analysis and management of the RCM data
Working with our customers and the supply chain, supporting the refinement of key RCM events and alerts
Developing a suite of customer use cases using the output of RCM systems to enable further adoption of digital technology
Working with the wider team, you will support the development of new digital products and services
Development of KPIs to track the successful implementation of new digital products and support the creation of business cases for future investment in this area
Becoming a subject matter expert on Porterbrook’s Digital systems and support the wider team with technical queries
Manage periodic reporting on the reliability performance of all Porterbrook assets
General Requirements
Knowledge of RCM systems and techniques, and how to develop them to deliver tangible benefits to asset performance and process efficiencies
Strong analytical skillset with the ability to analyse large complex datasets
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex terminology into simple, readily understood language
Commercial awareness and experience of developing business cases
Experience of launching new digital products/systems and an awareness of the associated challenges and opportunities
Understanding of vehicle maintenance, overhaul, and modification requirements
Qualifications
Degree, HNC or equivalent in an Engineering discipline
Knowledge
Knowledge of railway industry rolling stock, organisations, and key players (desirable)
Project Management qualification (desirable)
Key Skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management
Interpersonal skills
Report writing, presentation and record keeping skills
