Minute taking skills and experience are essential for this role

A Lead Administrator is required to be a part of the administration team supporting the Early Help Service which helps children, young people and families achieve their potential. The administrator is key to ensuring the smooth running of services and the role is exciting and varied.

Key responsibilities:

Process Early Help requests and ensure details are logged accordingly.
Organise and take minutes at relevant meetings.
Mailbox management and actions on the system.
Maintain system data including routine archiving.
Contribute to the development and implementation of Children’s Social Care admin services.
Plan, manage and develop your work to meet specified requirements and deadlines.
Record, store and supply information by organising, maintaining and using information systems including data bases.
Respond and communicate effectively to internal and external customers.
Contribute to the scheduling, organising and co-ordinating of activities, resources and events including travel and accommodation and meeting venues.

Qualifications:

NVQ Administration Level 3 or equivalent OR proven experience of working in an administrative role.



Experience:

Minute taking skills and experience.
Experience of using a range of computer software packages and systems.
Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.



Knowledge:

An understanding of the services, relevant legislation/good practice provided by Children’s Services.



Skills & Abilities:

Ability to develop, implement and maintain quality administrative services to customers.
Able to demonstrate excellent communication skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships in order to respond appropriately to the needs of colleagues and customers.
Able to work effectively as part of a team and under own supervision using initiative.
Ability to research, locate, select and analyse information to support decision-making.
Ability to plan, develop, organise and prioritise your work to meet deadlines and changes in priority.
Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
