Summary
As an experienced specialist you will be the Infection Prevention (IP) lead within a Clinical Management Group (CMG) Provision of specialist IP advice within your CMG to reduce the risk of health care associated infection (HCAI) Attend CMG IP meeting, providing reports on significant/alert organisms, HCAI, outbreaks and any other topics relevant at the time Support the CMGs to complete the HASCAT Tool (Health and Social Care Act Tool), IP section in the ward accreditation tool and CQC assessments as required. Carry out risk assessments, root cause analyses and outbreak investigations and make recommendations Delivery of the Trust wide IP education programme and local education in response to need Surveillance of HCAI Assist in the development of Trust wide infection prevention services in collaboration with the IP policy group Engage staff in the delivery of the IP annual programme within the CMG Support other team members in developmental roles
