We are delighted to be partnered with an industry leading client who work in the manufacturing of subsea power and control solutions.

We're looking for a Supply Chain Administrator to join their procurement department on a 12-month FTC to provide maternity cover in their team.

The role

  • Full-Time, 12-month contract
  • Up to £25,000 pa
  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Key accountabilities

  • To support the buyers in expediting Purchase Orders, RFQ’s and supplier documentation
  • Data Cleansing – to review aged RFQ’s and expedite responses internally and externally
  • IFS Data input and maintenance – Pricing, lead times and Preferred Suppliers
  • Use existing RFQ templates and appropriate supporting tools to prepare & send RFQ’s out for parts highlighted by the Buyer or Procurement Manager. Create purchase orders, obtain approvals and expedite acknowledgement and orders to completion.
  • To support the buyers in sending Engineering drawings and files as and when requested
  • ECO’s – Manage the distribution of ECO’s within the team and expedite responses, liaise with stakeholders within the process, report on impact of ECO’s to the Procurement Manager
  • Ordering and expediting of PO’s for the wider business
  • Dressing of New Parts and running reports to catch anomalies.
  • Following of SMD Purchasing Procedures
  • Defined deliverables within an agreed scope of work (agreed between Assistant and Team Lead in line with the above)

Skills & experience

  • Ability to manage the time and working requirements of self to ensure that critical business needs are met at all times
  • Some theoretical or practical knowledge and the application of Purchasing,
  • Demonstrable expertise in the application and use of Microsoft Word, Teams, Excel, Powerpoint and Project applications
