One of the UK’s most inspiring and best-known faith-based organisations is looking for a Community Mission Worker to join our team at Walthamstow. We aim to provide safe spaces where people can experience authentic, loving Christian community, and the Community Mission Worker will play a pivotal role in facilitating this.
Key responsibilities:

Foster authentic, loving Christian community.
Deliver and assist with a diverse range of mission activities, including facilitating and/or participating in activities exploring what it means to know and follow Jesus.
Contribute to planning and review processes to ensure continuous improvement and development, and the identifying of new mission opportunities.
Support with the recruitment, development and deployment of volunteers to ensure that they contribute successfully to mission activities.
Fulfil any relevant administration processes to ensure that accurate records are maintained.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

A commitment to the Christian Faith and to following Jesus in your everyday life.
A desire to encourage and support the faith journey of participants.
Experience of successfully delivering programmes.
The ability to organise your own workload to meet objectives.
Good communication and interpersonal skills

This role has an occupational requirement to be a practising and committed Christian, actively involved with your own Church.
