Summary

6 month role with training included, as part of Artswork's Breakthrough programme, which helps young people secure their first job in the arts. The Breakthrough programme is open to any young person between the ages of 16 –25, with qualifications gained up to school or college level. (It is not suitable for those with qualifications at level 5 or above). This placement is at Creative Crawley. Please note for legislative purposes, applicants for this role need to be 18+

Job description

Providing administrative, logistical and practical support for the programme of
creative activities and events we are delivering across Crawley.
Key tasks would include:
- Supporting the co-ordination or running of meetings, workshops and
events
- Offering feedback and insight to the development of new projects and
ideas
- Note taking, documenting or supporting the evaluation of activities
- Providing stewarding support including ushering or liaising with the
public at events/activities, helping with seating, carrying out vox pops,
circulating feedback questionnaires
- Purchasing and or setting up materials, resources, food supplies and
refreshments for meetings/events.
- Supporting the setup of equipment such as screens, ipads or recording
equipment for documentation/information sharing purposes
- Distributing marketing materials and developing content for digital
marketing campaigns.
- Helping with gathering evaluation data from audiences and participants
- Attending events on behalf of Creative Playground
The placement would mainly be based at our office in Crawley College or onsite at
events but we can offer flexibility with some remote working (as per the rest of our
team)

About Creative Crawley

Creative Crawley, an arts charity, champions creative people and produces
surprising arts events in the town. We produce a year round programme using
different spaces including drop in creative activities, festivals, performances,
training opportunities and trips to see cultural events outside Crawley. We have
two major projects 1) Creative Playground which is about getting more local
people involved in arts and culture to make the town a better place to live and
work 2) Creative Village a skills and artist development programme. We are a
small, busy team running varied and ambitious projects to make Crawley a cultural
destination for everyone here.
