Summary

We are looking for Warehouse Operative’s to join our team at Wincanton. This role will be working in a brand-new state of the art SMART warehouse for our new contract with TATA Chemicals British Salt in Middlewich. You will be required to operate MHE equipment including forklift counterbalance trucks, reach trucks and VNA trucks. Don't worry if you don't have a valid license for all of these trucks, we will provide training and license refreshers to the successful candidate but it would be helpful if you have some previous experience on at least one of these trucks!

Day to Day

  • Effective loading and unloading of a variety of containers working with TCE’s palletised, packed sodium bicarbonate and salt products. 
  • Put away and picking of pallets into racking and marshalling areas utilizing appropriate MHE
  • Wrapping and restacking items to meet the customers requirement    
  • Utilizing all types of MHE on site (VNA, Reach, Counterbalance and PPT) as required
  • Responsible for contributing to the culture of Health & Safety on site
  • Demonstrating Wincanton culture and values – Excellence, Integrity, Passion, Proactivity, Togetherness and Trust

What will you bring?

  • Counterbalance Forklift and Reach Truck would be desirable but not essential, full training can be provided
  • VNA licence would be an advantage, although full training will be provided (VNA trucks can reach heights of up to 18 metres, so ensure yu are comfortable with heights before applying)
  • Good attention to detail, and an accurate way of working
  • Proactive, flexible, can-do attitude to resolve issues and challenges
  • The quality of work is the main consideration, so a good level of attention to detail is required 
  • Understanding the need for a high level of customer service 
  • Good communication skills
