Join us for a unique opportunity to gain several months of paid experience as a Teaching Assistant in schools. You'll work with our partner schools in Newcastle and the surrounding areas, receiving comprehensive training both before and during your role. This program allows you to observe excellent teaching practices and understand what it's like to be a teacher-all while getting paid.
- Paid Experience: Gain at least 3 months to one year of paid experience in schools as a Teaching Assistant.
- Training and Support: Enjoy ongoing free training and support, including an accredited level 2 qualification.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant on our Graduates into Teaching Pathway, you will support pupils in groups and on a 1:1 basis. Roles vary from short-term to long-term placements in our partner secondary schools, SEN schools, and primary schools. You'll be mentored and coached to grow your skillset as you train. We will match you with schools near you for your placement.
- A degree in any subject.
- A predicted or achieved degree with a 2.2 or above.
- GCSEs in Maths and English (minimum grade 4 or C).
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Flexible and responsive in a dynamic work environment.
- Organised and efficient.
- Enjoy working with young people and aspire to work in a secondary school.
- Provide two referees we can contact.
- Have a DBS form or be prepared to obtain one.
