Summary


MFTThriveInEducation Teams have three corefunctions:-

• Deliveringevidence basedinterventions for mild to moderate mental health presentations
• Supporting the mental health leads in each school/college to support a whole school approach to wellbeing and mental health.


• Providingtimelyadvice and guidance to education staff and liaising with specialist services to support children and young people to receive effective support to remain in education.


The teamswork flexibly in educational settings to develop and provide preventive and early help support to meet the needs of pupils experiencing mild to moderate mental health issues.


We deliver low intensity, short-term,evidence basedinterventions to Children and Young People in education settings as well as providing rapid access to relevant specialist mental health services via a Single PointOfContact.



This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic, a good team player, and passionate about early intervention and prevention in children and young people's mental health. Wehave the opportunity toreach children and young people at the earliest stages possible when their difficulties have first beenidentifiedensuring schools, families,professionalsand mental health practitioners work collaboratively to acknowledge the voice of the young person and provide effective interventions in dynamic and innovative way.







Under supervision and with support during training period to develop knowledge and practice skills in:


·Delivering evidence-based interventions for children and young people, with mild to moderate mental health problems, in education settings.


·Helping children and young people within these settings who present with more severe problems to rapidly access more specialist services.


·Supporting andfacilitatingstaff in education settings toidentify, and whereappropriate, manage issues related to mental health and wellbeing.


·Working with and within educational environments to afford better access to specialist mental health services.


·Toevidencedevelopment of those skills with associated knowledge acquisition to record andevidenceprogression towards an academic award and demonstrable practical ability
