Salary: £19,000 - £23,000 per annum



Hours: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:00





We are working in partnership with our client, a 30+ year established supplier of medical products to find their next Stock
Controller to join their friendly, focused and data-driven team.



The successful Stock Controller will be versatile, thrive in a dynamic environment, and capable of working in an organised and
efficient manner.



Key Skills / Experience



* Be computer literate, numerate and commercially aware
* A hands-on individual with a keen attention to detail
* Must be enthusiastic about learning and developing new skills
* Able to demonstrate initiative and take ownership of the role
* Experience with Sage 200c Professional and Microsoft Office would be an advantage
* An understanding of supply chain processes, or experience in a procurement or stock control role would be an advantage
* Direct sector experience, in any role, would be an advantage



Role Responsibilities



* Using a computer-based stock management system to manage and monitor inventory
* Forecasting supply and demand, based on historic data and recent trends, to prevent overstocking and shortages
* Carrying out regular audits to ensure the integrity of the stock levels on system
* Raising purchase orders and liaising with suppliers to ensure consistent supply of required materials, while reporting and
addressing delays
* Booking deliveries in and liaising with goods in to ensure the accuracy of goods received notes and monitor for shortages and
goods damaged in transit
* Coordinating with the production planner and production supervisors to monitor the quality of supplied goods and ensure
supplier deliveries are scheduled and prioritised in a logical way based on stock availability
* Proactively expediting shortages and providing assistance in solving material supply issues
* Assisting with the creating and monitoring of manufacturing plans to meet demand from customer orders, internal requirements,
and buffer stock
* Reviewing and maintaining non-manufacturing purchasing needs
* Assist with monitoring supplier KPIs and the continuous improvement of new product introduction, new supply/service
requirements, and material processes
* Co-ordinating and logging monthly stock takes for finished products, WIP, and raw materials
* Aid with day-to-day activities and other administrative tasks as required
