They boast offices around the world, control over 50 billion in GWP and have circa 40,000 employees.Given the companies continuous growth and dedication to technological innovation, they are now looking to add a transformational lead from an underwriting background, to join a team of 35 globally and 10 within London.

Your new role

Reporting into the Technological Business lead, you will be responsible for a large number of projects that will transform the way the company operates and delivers across the value chain.
Main responsibilities:

  • Create new products, develop plans to achieve, produce business plans and proposals for solutions
  • Manage the development lifecycle from project inception to user deployment
  • Design target operating models through collaboration with other members of the change division, backed by the companies advanced technology
  • Manage a portfolio of global projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional global and local teams on various projects
  • Lead sessions with stakeholders across various business units around current process, improvements and solutions
  • Present ideas and rollouts to key stakeholders throughout the business


What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience as an Underwriter (3-5 years)
  • Expert knowledge of property / Casualty / Commercial products
  • Solid understanding of the full underwriting process
  • Understanding of insurance functions (Claims / Distribution / Compliance etc.)
  • Proven history of creating products and solutions built within digital technologies
  • History of working with global and local teams
  • Sound understanding of the emerging technologies and its impact on the Insurance lifecycle
  • Confidence to communicate and present with stakeholders, both internal and external up to a senior level
  • Process driven, forward-thinking
