Summary

Kingston Maurward Equestrian are seeking a confident, capable and passionate candidate to join Manor Stables; a busy college and commercial yard.
As an Equine Groom, you will play a role in the success of our students through:
Contributing to the day to day running of the yard including weekend cover
Participating in the care of horses to include all routine husbandry duties
Exercising horses as directed by the Centre Manager (subject to previous experience)
Part of this role involves supervising students during their practical sessions on the yard to support their personal development and learning skills so great communication is key.
This role comprises of yard duties, field and facility maintenance and student supervision. There will be riding for the right candidate.
Training will be given, but an ability to follow procedures with sense and good humour is a must.
Must work well in a team.
The successful candidate will be educated to at least BHS Stage 2/NVQ Level 2 or will have equivalent experience. Recent experience within a yard and working with young people is essential.
Own horse welcome at reduced livery rate – subject to suitability.

The college doesn’t hold a sponsorship licence therefore we are not open to candidates who require sponsorship under the points-based system.
Hours - 39 hours per week, Monday – Sunday with flexibility to meet business needs.
Hours are worked over 4.5 days including 1 weekend day. Rotas are typically set subject to holiday/sickness
Salary – £23,200.32 per annum
