Summary

At Forestry England we care for more land and trees than any other organisation in England. From small woodlands on the fringes of towns and cities, to vast areas like the ancient New Forest, for over 100 years we have been growing, shaping and caring for the nation’s forests.

If you have experience in multimedia production and a desire to capture videos/photos of beautiful forests and their inhabitants, this could be the role for you.

We are looking for an experienced Multimedia Producer with significant professional experience to tell Forestry England’s story across a variety of channels. Together with the in-house film editor, you will create impactful videos (in long and short form) and photography to increase brand awareness, understanding and engagement across a variety of channels. The quality of videos, images and sounds you capture will reflect the professionalism and expertise of Forestry England as an organisation and brand.

This post involves collaborating with contacts across Forestry England, and filming across the nation’s forests. Commitment to frequent travel with stays away from home is a requirement of this post. A full driving license is also required.

Alongside videography and photography, you will own and oversee the multimedia strategy, including media library management, editing and YouTube strategic channel management.

This role will line manage one in-house editor and one image asset assistant. You will support them to deliver first-class multimedia content and keep schedules or planners up to date. You also will be sourcing products and suppliers, and managing team admin.

The ideal candidate will be great at managing relationships with strong communication skills and a desire to work collaboratively with a variety of different people.

This is a part-time role for 25.9 hours a week, which can be worked flexibly from Monday to Friday. However, the nature of filming work does include some working on weekends, public and privilege holidays and evenings (except for Christmas Day).

The post holder can choose to be based from Bristol, or any other Forestry England office in England. However, regular travel to the Bristol office will be required 2-4 times a month. We have great blended working options and flexible working arrangements that can be discussed during onboarding.
