Summary
Are you a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking to make a profound impact on the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Teaching Personnel are seeking a HLTA to join one of our Ofsted rated Outstanding schools supporting autistic children and young people aged from 5-19 years old.
The Role:
As a HLTA, you will work closely with teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons, provide individual and small group support, and contribute to the overall positive ethos of the school. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the planning and preparation of lessons
- Leading small group interventions and classroom activities
- Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN)
- Contributing to the creation of a safe and inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver learning activities to students
- Supporting students 1:1 and in small groups
- Assess the needs of students and use detailed knowledge and specialist skills to support their learning
- Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all students
- Support students consistently whilst recognising and responding to their individual needs
Qualifications and Experience:
- HLTA qualification or equivalent
- Experience working in a school environment, with SEN students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage and support classroom activities effectively
- Commitment to the welfare and safeguarding of all students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
