The Green Estate aims to grow engaging, adaptive and resilient urban places. It is a community and ecosystem of landscape designers, meadow makers, park and heritage stewards, green recyclers, venue organisers, volunteers and more who all care about social and environmental sustainability.

The Pictorial Meadows brand originated more than 20 years ago, from an innovative and productive partnership between the University of Sheffield and The Green Estate Community Interest Company. Through a dedication to developing new and innovative approaches we now have a range of annual and perennial seed mixes and turf, as well as solutions for meadow installation, sustainable urban drainage and green roofs.

We are now looking for a Horticulture Innovation Manager to work with our Production and Commercial Landscape teams to continue that legacy of developing high quality plant and soil products, that provide solutions to the changing needs of the climate and urban environments. While also ensuring that quality assurance and production processes for our existing products continue to be effective in meeting customer needs.

We are looking for some with a strong horticultural understanding and systems-based approach as this job requires strict quality control, plant husbandry, and good record keeping. You will be required to build and maintain good relationships and communications with external partners, suppliers, customers, and internal staff, as well as leading, coaching and developing a small production team.
In return we can offer you a friendly and supportive working environment within a unique and diverse organisation. We are a growing business with a professional and focused team who are highly supportive of ongoing training and development.

This role is currently operating on site full time from 08:00 – 16:00 but there are opportunities for flexible and hybrid working arrangements.
