Summary

Morson Talent currently have an exciting new position for a Buyer to join our prestigious aerospace client based in Yeovil. This role is a contract role until June 2025.

PROFILE
- Reporting to the Geographical Purchasing Manager, the Buyer will be a key member of the Category Management team, contributing to purchasing activities and executing the Procure-to-Pay within a certain Geography (ITA, UK, US or PL) and inside the scope of the hierarchical Head of Category Management.
- Buyer will thus perform transactional activities related to purchasing (PR processing, ordering, invoicing management, etc.) for all the purchase requirements along the full part lifecycle (development, recurring production and CS&S)
- Buyer will interact with suppliers only for issues related to ordering/ transactional activities as detailed in responsibilities below, promptly requesting the intervention of Sub-Category teams in case of commercial/ contractual issues

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Processing all the Purchase Requisitions timely and effectively, promptly requesting the support of Commodity Specialists when is needed to perform sourcing & contracting.
- Preparing and issuing Purchase Orders for all the requests received from P&SCc internal client functions (Ops/ CS&S/ …)
- Addressing transactional issues associated to PO execution and acknowledgment (including invoicing management)
- Addressing PO transactional issue including Quality Notifications, Export paperwork, escalation for critical delivery issues, lead time management, Ask for Price RFP’s, Direct Vendor Delivery agreement, Direct Line feed contracts, Obsolescence management, Requalification of Vendors and Support to CS team.
- Interacting with internal LHD departments (Ops/ CS&S/ Finance/…) for all the matters related to PR processing and PO management.
- Contributing to achieve the throughput/ operational performance KPIs of the purchasing unit, while providing a high level of service to internal client functions.
- Verifying the correctness/ accuracy of all the information reported in the PRs and POs.
- Within well-defined delegation limits and based on the overall Category strategy/ pre-selected suppliers, performing the entire spot buy, including RFQ, negotiation and supplier selection, in alignment with the Purchasing Coordinator Category Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Commercial/Engineering/CIPS/ or equivalent experience

EXPERIENCE
Qualifications or 3 years related work-based experience.
Willingness/ability to travel domestically and abroad to Suppliers.

Regular remote worker (20% onsite) Full time role 37 hours per week.
