Care Leader Location: Wheatley Oxford Pay rate: £14.95 plus weekend plus NVQ enhancements Contracted hours: 42 About the Home: Wellford Gardens is our first luxury new build incorporating all-inclusive in the comfort of luxurious surroundings. It will include en-suite bedrooms, fresh air ventilation, acoustic monitoring, landscaped gardens, private dining, hair and beauty facilities, cinema, lounge and sun terrace. The home is located just off the A40 on Park Hill in Wheatley. Wellford Gardens is a three-storey home with 65 bedrooms, offering residents round-the-clock residential and dementia care. The home design includes innovative new technologies including E-care and providing person centred care with many personalised options. ABOUT THE ROLE Are you an experienced carer or senior carer with the passion to make a difference? Can you lead a small team of people to
deliver outstanding care to our residents, whilst encouraging them to always do their best? Our care teams make a real difference every day and your professionalism, teamed with kindness and compassion, will be at the core of everything you do. Supporting the Home Manager, and leading a team of carers, you’ll be responsible for planning and implementing the kind of care that will give our residents a real sense of security, dignity, and independence. You’ll ensure care plans are regularly reviewed through continuous assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. You’ll be able to manage your time between supporting your team effectively and ensuring the wellbeing of our residents. offering you discounts on shopping, days out, restaurants and much more ABOUT YOU You’ll have previous experience of working in a residential care setting with a NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care, or you’ve achieved NVQ Level 2, and you’re prepared to study for NVQ Level 3. You might have previous supervisory experience, like delegating tasks, supporting inductions for new starters and 1 to 1s but this is not essential. What is important is you are a positive role model, with excellent communication skills and a natural ability to get along with others. A supportive individual, able to motivate others to deliver the best possible care to our residents at all times. Alongside being confident taking charge and being able to use your own initiative to resolve problems and deal with queries.
