Job Overview:
Mitie is looking for Distribution security officers who can deliver exceptional customer service whilst creating a safe working environment, free from crime and the fear of crime for all colleagues, contractors, and visitors at Sainsbury's Argos Colchester LFC) depot.
It is preferred that you hold a current SIA licence or SIA certificates (licence can be provided) and that you have a full 5-year checkable employment/education history.
SIA licence training can be provided.
Main duties:
-To deliver industry leading customer service
-To conduct patrols of the depot
-To provide a visible security contact for colleagues, contractors, and visitors
-Booking in and out of all Vehicles entering and leaving the depot
-Utilising CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss
-Liaise with the depot management teams
-To deter theft, whether internal and/or external and other poor working practices
-To respond to any on site incident or request for assistance and assume control until arrival of the Client, Emergency Services or Depot Duty Manager
-To highlight all breaches of security procedures including internal and external crime
-Support with access and egress to and from the site as is required by the systems installed
-Gatehouse duties which will include booking in vehicles and supporting the transport operation (RDC ONLY)
-Must have reasonable level of PC skills
