As our Estates Project Manager, you will oversee the planning, development, and execution of a variety of construction, refurbishment, and maintenance projects across the College’s estate.

The post holder will ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities of our Estates Project Manager:


Lead and manage estates projects from inception through to completion, ensuring alignment with the College's strategic goals.
Develop detailed project plans, outlining scope, budget, timeline, resources, and risk management strategies.
Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery.
Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring financial control and accountability.
Monitor project expenditures and provide regular financial reports to senior management.
Identify and secure funding opportunities for capital projects.
Liaise with internal stakeholders, including academic departments and administrative units, to understand their needs and incorporate them into project plans.
Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions to senior leadership and other relevant parties.
Ensure all projects comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Ensure Complience for the clients duties and all other duty holders regarding CDM2015
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure safe working environments.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building regulations and industry standards.
Oversee the quality control process to ensure all works meet the College’s standards and specifications.
Conduct site inspections and audits to monitor progress and quality of work.
Resolve any issues or defects promptly and efficiently.
Lead a team of project coordinators and support staff, providing guidance and mentorship.
Foster a collaborative and productive working environment.
Identify training and development needs within the team and facilitate appropriate learning opportunities.


What we’re looking for in our Estates Project Manager:


Higher BTEC (or equivalent) in Construction or evidence of accreditation obtained through work based Continuous Professional development with substantial experience of Client Project Management duties. i.e. CIOB , RICS.
Asbestos Duty to Manage
Excellent knowledge CDM 2015 and H&S legislation
Robust knowledge of Project Management processes and techniques. Member of APM, RICS, RIBA is advantageous
Ability to interpret and extract information from a variety of sources, and create well presented, accurate, concise documentation demonstrating attention to detail
Ability to communicate technical information clearly to nontechnical staff
