Job objectives and responsibilities

To deliver results from the development of actionable intelligence that meets or exceeds the service delivery requirements through full responsibility and accountability for:

-Preparing and presenting intelligence briefings to internal and external stakeholders.

-Ensuring the delivery of reliable, and actionable, intelligence which highlights and assesses potential crime and security threats linked to offenders and events.

-Developing intelligence that proactively supports intelligence led deployment of resource, and contributes to creating safe and secure environments.

-Producing industry leading intelligence products that provide strategic and tactical direction and support to both internal and external key stakeholders.

-Instilling an intelligence sharing culture both internally and externally in order to maximise any potential return of investment to the client

-Providing the highest standards of intelligence to influence key decision makers internally and within law enforcement partners









Main Duties

To deliver results for their identified area that meets or exceeds expectations through full responsibility and accountability for:



· Developing, reviewing and continuously improving intelligence processes and procedures to ensure high standards and efficiency.

· Owning the creation of Intelligence Requirements, and developing appropriate intelligence collection plans.

· Promoting and progressing intelligence-led deployment of security resources and identify and promote other intelligence-led opportunities.

· Working and communicating with Zonal colleagues to manage assessed security risks.

· Involving Zonal teams in problem solving, and improvement ideas to gain the best solutions whilst creating the buy in and engagement of team members.

-Supporting the Crime & Intelligence team to actively identify and assess Persons of Interest, and Organised Crime Group's (OCGs) that present a crime and security risk.

-Supporting the Crime & Intelligence team to actively identify crime series, assess security vulnerabilities and make suitable recommendations for managing assessed risks.

· Identifying security intelligence & information sources networks with public, law enforcement & government agencies, maintaining a close working partnership.

· Assessing, defining and leading Zonal intelligence partnerships E.g. Police, Government agencies, other retailers and third-party networks.

· Working closely with the wider internal intelligence network to ensure we leverage our resources in support of the client.

· Ensuring compliance with GDPR and other relevant legislation and Company and Client quality standards.

· Escalating any incident outside of experience or control and follow all actions as specified regard to issues arising during the course of their duties.

· Completing ad-hoc projects as designated by the Crime Intelligence Manager.



Person Specification

Essential skills and experience

· Demonstrate leadership skills and experience and possess a proven track record for building and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

· Excellent report-writing and analytical skills with sharp attention to detail.

· Computer literate with a variety of software, including Microsoft Office and bespoke software.

· Ability to lead and motivate a team to provide excellent customer service.

· Ability to build and maintain relationships with a strong teamwork ethic.

· Good educational background and a solid command of written and spoken English.

· Experience of working within a demanding fast-paced environment.

· Strong communication and customer service skills.

· Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel.

· Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions.

· Good communication skills, verbal and written.

· Experience of leading Intelligence teams.

· Experience of team working.

· Project management experience.

· Reliable, flexible and discreet.

· Experience of working in a controlled environment.

Health and Safety responsibilities

-Follow Group and company policies and procedures.

-Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment.

-Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.

-Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system.



Information Security

-Ensure compliance with Mitie's information security procedures in all activities.

-Proactively identify and report security risks to your manager.

-Report actual and suspected security incidents.
