Job Description:
Derby City Council is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Housing Options Assistant to join the team at Derby Homes. This role involves supporting Homelessness Advisors in delivering effective and efficient housing advice and assistance to customers, helping to meet their housing needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Support: Contact customers owed a statutory homeless duty to review their housing circumstances and assist them with information and support regarding their housing options.
Case Management: Update all aspects of computerised housing systems, including casework, to ensure accurate records.
Partnership Work: Collaborate with other statutory and non-statutory agencies, attending meetings as required to ensure comprehensive support for customers.
Compliance: Adhere to safeguarding requirements for children and vulnerable adults, as well as all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Team Participation: Participate in team meetings, one-to-ones, and job chats to ensure effective communication and team cohesion.
Policy Adherence: Demonstrate a commitment to the Equalities Policies of Derby Homes and comply with all existing and any new Personnel Policies and Practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in using computerised systems for case management.
Understanding of safeguarding requirements for vulnerable populations.
