We are delighted to be working with a market leading client in the recycling and sustainability sector, and are excited to share an opportunity for a EHS Partner to join their team in Stalybridge!

The role

The EHS Partner is responsible for leading and managing the operational application of Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) as per company standards and local regulatory requirements for your assigned sites.

You'll be leading field EHS staff and supporting operational leaders in understanding and applying EHS standards and regulatory requirements, and supporting the implementation of EHS management system components.

  • Full-Time, Permanent
  • £35,000 - £40,000 pa
  • 08.30am - 5pm, Monday to Friday

Key accountabilities

  • Build and maintain strong operation relationships with senior team members
  • Manage and implement activities to promote operational commitment and adherence to EHS policy, standards, and procedures
  • Manage quality aspects of the EHS data management system
  • Support development of EHS management system components
  • Monitor lead and lag indicator data and develop corrective action plans
  • Participate in and monitor methods of incident management to ensure consistent methods are used
  • Facilitate and schedule risk assessments, industrial hygiene monitoring, and workplace inspections
  • Participate in and facilitate internal and external EHS audits
  • Develop and participate in EHS personnel engagement activities
  • Support and recommend opportunities for continuous improvement initiatives

Skills & experience

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • HSE experience in industrial/manufacturing environment
  • Implementing workplace health and safety procedures

Skills

  • Excellent relationship building skills with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to report on financials and targets
  • Attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office
