- and right now we are looking to recruit for a Technical Contract Manager to join the team.
This role will see you lead, manage and be responsible the Oxford Technical team and their performance. Working collaboratively with the Oxford Partnership Management team, as well as fully supporting each Facility operations team to ensure that their service deliver is maintained.
In addition to this, you will be required to consistently provide on a pre-planned, ad-hoc, breakdown and reactive basis, a professional and effective maintenance, service, and repair function across the cluster. You will ensure compliance with the operational requirements and contractual obligations whilst providing efficient and effective management of the expenditure for the planned & reactive maintenance budgets for the contracts.
Serco manages these facilities on a day-to-day basis on behalf of the Trust.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage the technical delivery both back and front of house in a customer focused environment by means of support and working through individual site teams.
- Ensure the legislative and company standards are maintained with regards to statutory compliance and reporting procedure for our trust & local authority clients.
- To provide a professional service to the Oxford Management Team in respect to small project works by producing quality scope of works, tendering such works in accordance with company financial standards and engaging and managing such works.
- To ensure that cyclic planned preventative maintenance and service works are completed to satisfy the contract specification for the Oxford Contract as set out in the company’s planned preventive maintenance procedures and being appropriately recorded.
- To co-ordinate and have undertaken by approved term maintenance specialist works providers, cyclic maintenance and service works on a contract appointment basis to satisfy contract specification for the Oxford Contract as set out in the company’s planned preventive maintenance procedures and appropriately record.
- To monitor the reactive maintenance, service and repair works within the Oxford Contract to satisfy those requirements of the contract specification.
- To assist and support the site-based Management Team in respect to any reasonable technical request.
- To monitor the CAFM defects reports in accordance with agreed procedures ensuring that service standards are maintained to the requirements of the contract’s specification.
- To respond appropriately to all maintenance issues in accordance with the agreed priority rating system and with minimum disruption to facilities.
- To advise the general (facility) managers and site based technical staff in respect of relevant health and safety environmental issues.
- To monitor, manage and focus the site teams to effective use of the facilities second bigger costs base (utilities) via means of an efficient plant and building operation.
What you’ll need to do the role
The successful candidate must have a minimum of 3 years building services experience, qualified in an associated building services trade and experienced in managing a team.
Previous management or supervisor experience essential. Minor works project management experience, knowledge of swimming pool plant, water hygiene and HVAC system would be advantageous.

This role will require a clean driving license as travel between the sites is involved
