Summary

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Technical Coordinator. to work across multiple sewage works including THP site Crawley STW

This is a technical site based role in operations and ideally the right candidate will come from a Maintenance background or have experience in waste or water operations

As the successful candidate, your role will be to manage specific activities within a designated area/remit including leading on briefed projects and providing support on larger-scale projects.

To be successful in this role you will need to be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to working to a high standard with regards to health, safety, and wellbeing and have good attention to detail.

What you’ll be doing as The Technical Coordinator

- Planning activities to deliver repairs, inspections and maintenance on sewage treatment works.
- You will also use your expertise to plan complex works safely and resolve long-standing and reactive issues.
- Performance managing contractors to complete repairs and maintenance on our assets within budgetary and time constraints, as well as promoting a culture of continuous improvement and modelling the Thames Water values at all times.
- Managing the Health and Safety of the activities for internal and external stakeholders.
- Optimising the network to improve maintenance activities, flow, electricity usage and environment.
- To be a key stakeholder in the capital delivery programmes for wastewater treatment.
- Planning an inspection programme for statutory inspections on lifting equipment.
- Participation in an out-of-hours call-out rota after a period of training.

What you should bring to the role

- Experience within maintenance, water or waste, or similar technical environment.
- Experience in technical job design and/or prerequisite management at another water utility.
- Technical experience from an industrial maintenance background.
- Ability to demonstrate logical thinking, attention to detail, workload management, and decision-making, and possess excellent communication skills.
- Health and safety knowledge.
- Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.
- Competent with IT systems – in particular SAP.
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
