You’ll help us make health happen by:
We are looking to appoint an exceptional driven individual to help lead the Pharmacy Systems team at the Cromwell Hospital. You’ll report to the Chief Pharmacist, whilst working closely with other department leaders in the pharmacy.

You will be responsible for successfully managing Ascribe, BD Pyxis, Powergate and Digitrak Systems for the pharmacy department and hospital to enable safe patient care, efficient stock maintenance, ensuring adherence to pharmacy service agreements and pricing contracts.

You’ll work closely with our IT department to ensure the continued functioning of all Pharmacy systems as well as lead on pharmacy system integration projects and produce accurate department financial reporting for KPI / Management Accounts and Executive Team.

To be considered for this role it is essential that you have proven profession in Pharmacy Informatics in a hospital setting (NHS or Private). You’ll be approachable with exceptional IT skills, professional, diligent, have superb attention to detail, time management, and leadership skills.

What you'll do:
You will be a trained Ascribe System Manager, develop and enhance the system, ensure regular housekeeping tasks, maintaining drug files, system integrity checks and access recertification and other software tasks as appropriate.

You’ll maintain accurate financial pricing and contract management, with daily price update procedures within Compucare. To manage losses and gains within the Ascribe system and ensure accurate invoice management via GenFin interface. Work with Genpact team to resolve issues and ensure on time payment schedules.

You’ll Manage the implementation of upgrades of the pharmacy stock management and other pharmacy IT systems, including training, and updating of SOPs.

You’ll ensure that all staff trained are effective in the use of all pharmacy IT systems

You’ll consult with financial auditors and stock takers, regarding stockholding and ordering processes.

You’ll consult with the IT department to ensure the continued functioning of all Pharmacy systems, provision of logins and development of new IT based solutions.

You’ll manage pharmacy archive function, ensuring prescriptions / archived pharmacy documentation is maintained and stored appropriately in accordance with the law, on site as well as in outside storage facilities. Ensure documentation and procedures are updated regularly.

You’ll consult with clinical pharmacists and the ward/clinical department manager to ensure non-Pyxis stock items are regularly updated and kept at appropriate levels and where necessary charges posted appropriately.


What you’ll bring:
Qualified Pharmacist or NVQ Level 3 Pharmacy Services – ESSENTIAL
Experience of working in a pharmacy informatics role and proven experience in the development and support of IT systems within a health care setting to include implementing/problem solving clinical / pharmacy IT systems. - ESSENTIAL
System Manager trained Ascribe – ESSENTIAL
System manager trained BD Pyxis, electronic QMS
Experience of implementing and working with EPMA system(s)
