Summary
First Step team seeks to appoint an Administrator for a six month fixed term post to this innovative and creative team which works to screen and assess the emotional and mental health needs and provide brief interventions to the entire looked after population in the London Borough of Haringey.
The work is likely to suit someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, who likes to be part of a busy and effective team, and who is skillful in managing relationships both inside the team and with our colleagues from other agencies.

The post-holder will be part of a multidisciplinary team which provides comprehensive emotional and mental health assessments and brief interventions to children and young people new into care in Haringey as well as to children who are already in care. The team also provides training, family rehabilitation work and social work consultation.
To provide effective and efficient administration which supports management by ensuring a high standard of data quality and by making the best use of capacity and resources. Alongside the Service Administration Manager and the Admin Lead the post holder will ensure the smooth running of both services through carrying out a range of
administrative tasks. The post holder will have significant administrative experience in the NHS or a similar institution, the ability to work independently and be motivated to support the administration manager in improving systems and processes.
A significant aspect of the role is to liaise with clinicians to effect the timely collection of data for internal auditing and external reporting systems and as such the post holder should be an excellent communicator.
The Community & Integrated Service
Our community and Integrated service line is home to all our services that work in the community or are integrated into community teams such as with the local authority or primary care. The service line is home to our core Community Camden CAMHS as well as adult primary care service in Hackney. The service line is fully multidisciplinary with teams that are staffed with Psychiatry, Psychology, Social Work, Psychotherapy, Nursing and Family Therapy.
First Step
To work within First Step, the innovative psychological health screening and assessment service for Haringey’s looked after children and young people. The team is small and multidisciplinary, with social work, clinical psychology, systems, and child psychotherapy disciplines represented. The service provides comprehensive emotional and mental health needs assessments of all children new into care in Haringey, as well as providing briefer assessments of children currently in care and intensive interventions to young people chronically unstable in care. There is also training and limited family rehabilitation remit.
