Role: Senior Technical Lead – Digital Security

Pay Rate: Competitive Market Rate
Hours per week: 37 hours per week
Contract Length: Initially 12 months
Location: Manchester or Birmingham (2 days per week in the office and WFH)
As Senior Technical Lead, you will be responsible for application development, creating, and maintaining products and services for the organisation. You will utilise your technical expertise in multiple domains to develop technical product roadmaps and manage product lifecycles, ensuring full alignment with the organisation’s strategy.
The Senior Technical Lead should provide technical input into business discussions to guide the broader organisational strategy, drawing on deep experience in software development, site reliability engineering, DevOps, and solution architecture. Candidates should have hands-on experience as a PS Splunk consultant, demonstrating a practical, action-oriented approach rather than merely theoretical knowledge.
Key accountabilities:
Anticipate and exploit opportunities through the recognition of new digital technologies to enhance capability in alignment with business goals.
Provide expert domain knowledge and advise to project teams when dealing with complex projects or issues.
Advise on problems arising from specific work programmes or from implementation of proposed changes in policy, and make balanced recommendations.
Interpretation and judgements in selecting and analysing a complex set of information, testing options and hypotheses or the co-ordination of views of other internal and external interests to achieve mutually acceptable solutions.
Key requirements:
Hands on PS Splunk consultant experience
Experience working with the business to develop use cases and config searches in ES interactively sharing screen in groups etc.
Ability to manage stakeholder in a challenging environment.
Extensive Security Background working in/with a SOC to analyse security alerts.
