United Response have a brilliant opportunity for someone to join our team as a Service Manager working across our Cornwall services.

United Response is a leading national charity providing support to young people and adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs. Making it happen- your Role.

We have an opportunity for a Service Manager to join us on a 37.5 hours per week basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to further develop United Response’s reputation as an outstanding provider in the area. Leading good practice and developing excellence in service, you will provide management support whilst ensuring the people we support are supported in accordance with person centered approaches.

To be considered for this role you must:

  • Be passionate about making a difference and the work of United Response.
  • Have experience of leading and motivating a team in a social care setting.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Social Care Management or equivalent
  • Experience of managing budgets and financial processes.
  • Knowledge of regulatory framework.
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Clear written and verbal communication style.
  • Fully IT literate and confident in the use of different IT systems / packages.
  • Willing to undertake required training, sometimes off site and outside normal working hours.
  • Willing and able to travel between locations as required.
  • Available for flexible working patterns including evenings, weekends, sleep-ins and nights as required.
  • Able to undertake on-call duties on a rota basis.

Please note that to be considered for this post you must hold a full driving licence as you will be required to travel throughout areas in West Cornwall.

Pay & Benefits:

In return for hard work and dedication as a Service Manager you will receive:

  • £34,070.40 per annum
  • 20 days paid annual leave (plus 8 bank holidays), which increases after 3 and 5 years’ service
