Summary

Our client, of the leading community care organisations in Cornwall are seeking a small team of community care professionals to join their team. We have full time and part time positions available in the Newquay & Truro area.

To be a driver is essential.

We are looking for a candidate who is able to cover 4 shifts per week, it is important to be available on the weekends & both shift patterns.

The role: FEMALE CAREER

• £12.30 an hour
• 40p per mile mileage allowance
• Shift patterns: 7am - 2pm and 4pm – 10pm
• Full time hours: 30 – 40 per week
• Opportunities for career growth and full on-the-job training is provided
• Routes in Newquay or Truro
• Driving licence is essential

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and support to individuals within the community, within their home
• Assist with all aspects of personal care and daily living activities
• Administer medications and monitor and accurately record updates on health conditions
• Support individuals to access appointments and community activities
• Maintain accurate, honest and detailed records of services provided each visit and client progress
• Work in partnership with healthcare professionals, family members and co workers to ensure the well-being of the individual
• Provide emotional support and companionship to the individuals

About you:

• A driving licence with access to your own car is essential for this position
• Previous experience working within the care sector is highly advantageous – however not essential as full training and ongoing support will be provided
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and patient demeanour with a passion for helping others
• An ability to be flexible with your working patterns
