Summary


The post holder will oversee the delivery of the Core Psychiatry training Programme in NHSE England North West. It will cover the East (formerly North West) part of the Scheme.



The post holderwill support the Head of School in the Strategic Development of the North West School of Psychiatry and contribute to supporting the School Operational Programme.



The post holder will be a member of the School Board and Core Psychiatry Speciality Training committee.



Please note this is a 3 year secondment extendable to a maximum of three years, subject to mutual agreement

· Work in collaboration with Head of School of Psychiatry to develop and implement a Medical Workforce Strategy which supports the recruitment and retention of Core Psychiatry Traineesand to promote health and well-being

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.

To provide expert advice on Specialty specific matters to the Scheme

To ensure that the training programme remains appropriate to deliver the RCPsych Core Psychiatry speciality curriculum

To provide rotation details in a timely manner to the Programme Support Team in order to meet our contractual requirements

To support the Head of School to ensure appropriate systems for Assessment, Rotational Management, Trainee Supervision & Support and other functions within the School
