Hours of Work

Monday to Thursday: 7:30 am – 4:00 pm
Friday: 7:30 am – 3:00 pm
Lunch Break: 30-minute unpaid daily
Total Hours: 39 hours per week
Position Type: Temp to Perm
Salary - £16 - £18 per hour

Job Purpose

To assist the Manufacturing Manager by undertaking the fabrication and welding of products according to customer drawings and requirements.

Key Responsibilities Primary Tasks

• Fabrication
• Welding (Manual TIG, Orbital)

Secondary Tasks

• Internal Polishing
• External Polishing
• Machining (manual centre lathe, manual mill, radial drill)
• Inspection
• Stores (goods in, dispatch, manual handling)

General Responsibilities

• Develop skills to safely complete manufacturing requirements.
• Understand and apply materials handling practices.
• Use and maintain PPE consistently; adhere to Health & Safety regulations.

• Prior fabrication experience

• Punctual with a good attendance record

Desirable Skills

• Engineering knowledge (drawings, etc.)
• Manufacturing background
• Previous experience with weld coding
• Willingness to take on additional responsibilities

General Duties

• Perform housekeeping duties in all areas of the shop floor as required.
• Undertake new skills training as necessary.
• Support manufacturing projects initiated by the Manufacturing Manager.
• Perform other duties as requested by the Managing Director.
