Role

  • Delivering and collecting beer kegs to breweries
  • Collecting from wholesalers/breweries/sometimes pubs
  • Yardwork - preparing the orders, loading and unloading vans, assisting the team in other duties like cleaning vans
  • FLT licence beneficial but not essential - could then put stock away
  • Customer facing role - customer experience would be helpful
  • Must have a pleasant manner
  • Previous driving experience in a previous role
  • Fit and healthy - labourous role, Kegs weigh roughly 14kilos

The Service Delivery Driver will have responsibilities to meet our scheduled customer orders and customer container collections as well being a key team member when on a CBBR site to organise containers.

Success in this role means becoming conversant in the end to end logistical movements and being able to deliver an excellent standard of customer service.

There is also a requirement to use digital scanning equipment and the management of the delivery and collection system.

Adherence to internal and external regulatory requirements will be expected to ensure compliance and regulatory checks are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver casks and kegs to customer sites as directed by the logistics team
  • Collecting casks and kegs as directed by the logistics team
  • Ensure all casks and kegs (outbound and inbound) stock accuracy is maintained by using the scanning equipment
  • Load and unload the 3rd Party vehicles as required at the CBBR site
  • Inform management if CBBR system is not performing appropriately
  • Support your colleagues with their workload in a professional and helpful manner
  • Ensure that your vehicle is kept clean and well-maintained reporting any defects to management immediately
  • Ensure the delivery proof of delivery procedure is carried out at each customer site
  • Ensure the procedure for mileage and fuel receipts is followed at all times
  • Ensure that the vehicles are driven at all times as per legislation and driving policy

Risk & Compliance:

  • Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Full UK driving licence
  • A category C Licence
  • Experience as a driver
  • Experience of working with Customers

Desirable

  • Forklift Truck licence (counter balance)
  • Experience in the Food and drink industry
  • Experience using digital scanning equipment
  • Good communicator, teamwork
