We have an excellent opportunity available to join our Retail Partnership team, where you will be a part of a hardworking, collaborative team that’s delivering on our promise to serve our customers, communities, and the planet a little better every day.

The key to success will be your ability to engage and work collaboratively with Tesco teams and third parties.

You will be responsible for

  • Ensuring there is a long term customer led plan, which drives customer loyalty

  • Driving problem solving, including identifying key issues and developing effective solutions

  • Delivering my budget, by supervising and driving partner performance, handling bad debt and providing accurate forecasts

  • Efficiently using insights to understand customer needs, market trends and competitor activity to find opportunities

  • Handling partner performance, supporting them to build long term partner relationships with us through both strategy and growth

  • Handling communications across key stakeholders and internal business partners.

  • Standing over the end to end delivery process, influencing the wider business to meet all critical path deadlines, ensuring that we launch “right first time” for customers and colleagues
  • Negotiating commercial agreements with partners, ensuring all agreements are recorded in writing, and leading a culture of compliance within my team e.g. GSCOP
  • Responding to change positively by developing improvement of our processes, operations and methodology
  • Always being cost conscious when making decisions
  • Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence

You will need

  • Experience of developing category strategies
  • Retail experience
  • Managing complex critical paths
  • Ability to interpret customer insight and turn into action.
  • Negotiation and contract management
  • Strong project and stakeholder management skills
  • Good strong commercial acumen and understanding
  • Strong communications and storytelling skills
  • Ability to lead by influencing at all levels.
