We are looking for Bank Care Assistants to join our friendly, welcoming team at our Quayside scheme in Totnes.

What is typical day like as Care Assistant with Guinness?

When you are supporting people, no two days are ever the same! Our customers live in their own flat and have dedicated time for us to give them the support that they need.

You will be doing things like helping our customers to get up and ready for the day ahead, providing personal care, assisting with medications, preparing meals, making sure their flat is clean, tidy, and safe. Whilst completing these practical tasks, you will be providing important companionship and emotional support.

What do you need to be a Relief Care Assistant?

  • You should be able to demonstrate our care values: Caring, Accountable, Respectful, Ethical and Dedicated.
  • You will be comfortable providing personal care (washing, showering, toileting, etc).
  • You will need to be flexible and available to work Monday - Sunday, the shifts will include morning/ evening
  • Care experience is essential for our bank vacancies
  • You must live locally to Ivybridge
  • You should be flexible to work shifts from Monday - Sunday with early starts and late finishes (potential night shifts).
  • A full driving licence is helpful (but not essential)
  • Above all, you need a real desire to care for others and make a real difference to their quality of life
