Summary
My client is looking for a Caretaker to work at a School around the Blackheath area. This is a Full-time Permanent Position to start ASAP, although they are willing to wait for the right candidate.
You will be expected to work the following hours on a shift pattern:
Between the hours of 7am and 9pm, although most of the time you will be working 8am-5pm.
Salary: £27,352
Purpose of the Position:
• The premises staff provide essential support in the efficient day to day running of the school throughout the year. The range of activities undertaken is wide and varied and may include setting up for events, escorting contractors and decorating. The role may include occasional evening and weekend work which is paid as overtime.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
• Support all members of the premises team.
• Carry out minor maintenance repairs in accordance with the post holders’ skills and qualifications.
• Oversee the pond care.
• Carry out cleaning duties if required.
• Keep site clean, tidy and free from litter and rubbish.
• Assist in emergency evacuations.
• Conduct daily and weekly audit checks of the school site.
• Daily gate duties.
• Oversee sprinkler alarm checks and water temperature audits.
• Assist with the external hire events on Saturdays (Occasional).
