Summary


Applications are invited for a Junior Clinical Fellow post in our unit. This is a x2 full time fixed term appointment from August 2024 for a mandatory period of 12 months. One of the jobs is an education fellow job in which you will have a PG Cert in Education funded and 50% of your elective activity will be in a medical education role. The job is based at Manchester Royal Infirmary with elective activity taking place at North Manchester General Hospital, Trafford General Hospital and Wythenshawe Hospital.

Main duties of the job include:

Clinical
• Ward cover based at MRI
• Elective activity including clinics and theatres at all sites including MRI, TGH, Wythenshawe, NMGH
• Attending multi-disciplinary team meetings
• 1 in 4.5 on-call rota covering Urology, General Surgery, Transplant and Vascular (There are 3 doctors on-call together)

Educational
• Take part in research and quality improvement in urology
• Take part in departmental teaching
• Take part in education for medical students from Manchester Medical School
