Description
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and passionate Specialist Occupational Therapist for our Making Every Adult Matter\Rough Sleeping program. As a Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in providing support, intervention, and rehabilitation services to adults experiencing rough sleeping and related complex needs. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals and is committed to addressing the challenges faced by those who are homeless.

Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the functional, psychological, and social needs of individuals experiencing rough sleeping
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to address identified needs and goals
Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to help individuals improve their daily living skills, promote independence, and enhance their overall well-being
Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure integrated and holistic care for clients
Offer expert advice and support to staff and partner agencies regarding the occupational therapy needs of individuals experiencing rough sleeping
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and revise treatment plans as necessary
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and records of assessments, interventions, and progress
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an Occupational Therapist, preferably with a focus on homelessness or rough sleeping
Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
Solid understanding of the complex needs and challenges faced by individuals experiencing rough sleeping
Proven ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans to address a range of occupational therapy needs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish therapeutic relationships with clients
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively and adapt interventions to suit individual circumstances
