Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and dynamic Operational Manager to join the leadership team at University Dental Hospital Manchester. The post includes operational management of outpatient and elective surgery services.
STAFF MANAGEMENT:
To ensure that all staff have regular appraisals with clearly understood objectives and personal and/or professional development plans. In conjunction with the senior management team and HR staff, develop
workforce plans and HR strategies for the individual departments for which
the post holder is responsible.
To ensure that training and development plans are in place and that training
needs analysis are regularly conducted.
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT:
In conjunction with the budget holder for defined specialities, to advise the
service management team on issues of financial management and to ensure
that the Trust’s standing financial instructions are adhered to. Ensure effective capacity management and efficient resource utilisation.
