This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced finance environment to lead the revenue accounting support for our Adult Social Care.




Being the key point of contact, responsible for the day-to-day management of our departmental revenue accounting team, providing professional financial advice to senior staff within the allocated service areas. You’ll also work on projects to deliver change and contribute to our strategic financial planning.




Working 37 hours per week you’ll be able to utilise our flexible working policy. Usually based at City Hall, the team are currently working a hybrid of home and office based.




What you’ll be doing




You’ll be leading and directing a team, responsible for revenue budget monitoring, providing advice and challenge to senior officers, undertaking financial modelling, supporting the closedown process, analysing, and advising on the financial implications of service development proposals.




What You’ll Need




You will have substantial financial experience, preferably in local government, an aptitude for finance systems, and for managing and developing staff. Being able to communicate confidently, providing advice in a clear understandable manner.
