The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate an ability to:
Develop, and work within, the principles of TLAP ensuring customers are equal partners in designing their own care and support.
Ensure the customer has choice and control over their care and support they receive.
Have an awareness of Positive Behavioural Support with the ability to undertake PSA/Breakaway or PMVA training.
Carry out intimate tasks without supervision.
Able to form and maintain effective working relationships with individuals being supported, their families colleagues and partner organisations
Ability to liaise with people at all levels including senior management and multi-disciplinary team professionals.
Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills, which includes working in co-production with the customer when creating and updating their care plans.
Mentor or support colleagues or apprentices.
Demonstrate an ability to work flexibly and use own initiative.
Able to work efficiently, effectively and professionally in a team and on their own.
Understanding of and ability to implement requirements of the safeguarding policy.
Show a commitment to Equality & Valuing Diversity principles.
Able to work flexibly to meet the needs of individuals, the service and organisation.
