Summary
Job Role - Perm
Hours - 42.5 a week
Pay - £24.5k after probation increase to £26k.
Achievable bonus structure is also available
Interview time - 30 mins
Responsible For:
Maximizing buying volume
Maximizing cancellation & renewal fee-income
Influencing Sales Margins & Stock Levels
Appraisal & research to establish the correct pricing of
products
Testing items to minimize loss & write-offs
Working with the store manager to achieve financial targets & high audit
Required Skills
Awareness and understanding of our key product groups
& Qualifications: Strong inter-personnel skills
Good communicator, especially with the public
Ability to undertake product & price research
Basic mathematics & fluent English.
Basic technical ability.
Organized with good housekeeping standards
Main Duties:
Engaging positively with customers wishing to sell items to us,
making them feel comfortable and confident in transacting
Determining realistic sale prices for items, making appropriate
offers to purchase items and thus generating profit through
renewals, repurchases, or sales of those items.
Testing before purchase to ensure that items are of saleable
quality and that prices accurately reflect the grade of items.
Compliance with appropriate KYC checks to ensure that stolen
or fraudulent/fake items are not purchased.
Managing housekeeping to maintain high standards at the
counter (and store), including storage and retrieval of items
and the tools and equipment associated with the counter.
Monitoring goods returned as faulty to improve the buying
function and minimize returns continually.
Monitoring the sales of items and aged stock levels, so that
margin targets are achieved without stock build-up.
Administration functions associated with the Buying Counter.
Any other tasks as deemed necessary from time to time.
