The Scottish Government have identified tackling child poverty as a priority and one of its most important outcomes. Employability forms a key part of this. The Parental Employability Support Fund (PESF) provides support for parents to progress into employment as well as supporting low income parents to progress within work. PESF offers support to a range of parents from priority groups and provides personalised support for parents who face barriers to progressing within the labour market, including help to gain qualifications, improving skills or work experience; money advice and motivational support.

Taking a holistic key worker approach, we are looking for a highly motivated individual to support parents to upskill and/or retrain and increase family income through a wide range of employability interventions.

*Depending upon the needs of the service, staff in Hybrid roles will typically work from home for up to 40-60% of the time where the needs of the service can still be met.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
