STERILE SERVICES COORDINATOR (FLEXIBANK)
One Healthcare has an opportunity for an experienced TSSU to join within a small friendly Theatre team on Bank. To assist the theatre practitioners and consultants where your contribution is valued for the best personalised healthcare to our patients. To oversee and be the link person with IHSS. To provide a sterile service to theatre.
WORKING HOURS: FlexiBank shifts allocated as and when required
STERILE SERVICES COORDINATOR (FLEXIBANK)
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
o COORDINATE WITH COLLEAGUES TO PROVIDE A STERILE SERVICES TO THEATRE AND ODP.
o USE HOSPITAL COMPUTER SYSTEMS TO MANAGE TRAY BUILDS FOR INSTRUMENT SETS.
o ROTATE STOCK USING FIFO METHOD TO KEEP INSTANCES OF OUT OF DATE INSTRUMENT SETS TO A MINIMUM.
o LIAISE WITH COMPANIES TO FACILITATE ACCURATE CHECK SHEETS FOR LOAN SETS.
o FACILITATE ALL REASONABLE REQUESTS FOR URGENT DELIVERIES.
o MANAGE CONSIGNMENT STOCK AND LIAISE WITH APPROPRIATE COMPANIES AND REPRESENTATIVE.
o KEEP INSTRUMENT/SETS ROOM CLEAN AND TIDY.
o Carrying out the role in line with health & safety requirements, including COSHH, the safe use of machinery and moving physical loads.
o REASONABLE REQUESTED TO CARRY OUT OTHER DUTIES RELATED TO YOUR ROLE.
o LIAISE WITH IHSS ANY PROBLEMS OR CONCERNS WITH REGARDS TO STERILE SERVICES.
o KEEP A RECORD OF ALL INSTRUMENT SETS AND SINGLE ITEMS THAT ARE PROCESSED.
o USE T DOC TO TRACK INSTRUMENTS.
o LIAISE WITH INSTRUMENT REPAIR COMPANIES TO ENSURE INSTRUMENTS ARE IN WORKING ORDER.
SKILLS:
o SOUND WRITTEN, NUMERICAL AND VERBAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS.
o HIGH ;LEVEL OF NUMERACY
o SOUND PC SKILLS USING MS OFFICE SUITE INCLUDING OFFICE AND EXCEL SKILLS.
o FLEXIBILITY AND ADAPTABILITY TO MEET THE CHANGING NEEDS OF THE BUSINESS
o DEMONSTRABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS
o PROVEN ABILITY TO WORK EFFECTIVELY IN A TEAM ENVIRONMENT AND INDEPENDENTLY AS REQUIRED.
