Summary

We are recruiting for a Contract Paralegal with conveyancing experience to support our Lender Sales team in Bristol. Our Lender Sales team deals with the sales of those properties that have been taken into possession. This is traditional conveyancing with a twist due to the nature of the work undertaken.

This role will be a 3–6-month contract with the possibility of extension or more permanent contracts. You will be working on a day rate via an Umbrella company. This role if fully remote.

This Role

As a Contract Paralegal your day-to-day remit includes:

  • Responsible for own caseload of sale files, referring all legal aspects to the Team Supervisor or Team Manager
  • Preparation of communications, contracts and documents as instructed by senior Fee Earners
  • Processing new matters using case management system
  • Use case management system to action workflow entries on a daily basis and from the Schedule for individual files
  • Regularly update clients and asset managers as to progress of matters.
  • Ensure that all matters are billed promptly at exchange

Your Skills and Experience

  • Previous administration experience
  • Previous telephone handling experience
  • To demonstrate a natural empathy/affinity with Clients and a good telephone manner, with a clear diction
  • Proactivity and attention to detail
  • Organisational and time management skills.

Your Team

Operating from our offices in Bristol, Manchester, Glasgow and Belfast, we have specialist expertise in each UK jurisdiction. We act for banks, building societies, other secured lenders and third party services. We support on repossession conveyancing for these clients, so that when a property is taken into possession the title checking process is carried out promptly, and a sale progressed proactively. We also provide advice and support to fixed charge receivers from validating their appointment through to dealing with non-paying tenants or those who remain in the property beyond the end of their tenancy.
