Summary

My client is looking for a School Public Relations Officer to work at a School around the Plaistow area. This is a Part-time Fixed term Position for 1 year to start in September 2024 and it will be working 2 days per week.

Purpose of the Position:
• The Public Relations Officer will be responsible for managing and improving the school's public image to increase community engagement and generate additional income through various channels.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Public Relations
• Develop and implement a comprehensive Public Relations strategy to enhance the school's profile.
• Create press releases, newsletters, and other Public Relations materials.
• Manage the school's social media accounts and website content.
• Build and maintain relationships with local media, stakeholders, and community groups.
• Organize and promote school events to the community.
Income Generation
• Responsible for revenue generation to maximise school profits.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for additional income, such as grants, sponsorships, and partnerships.
• Develop fundraising campaigns and initiatives.
• Coordinate with the school administration to manage donor relations.
• Develop, plan and execute events to generate income for the school

Communication
• Act as the main point of contact for all Public Relations and income generation enquiries.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders, including parents, staff, and community members.
• Ensure all communications are consistent with the school's values and branding.

Other
• To produce and present reports to the school governing boards on the incomes the school has generated
• Carry out routine admin tasks e.g. writing letters to organisation, parents, updating school websites
• Other appropriate duties relevant to the purpose of the post and within the grading and competency of the post holder, as reasonably required by the SLT/Headteacher.
