Summary

Are you a qualified and experienced Counsellor, who is able to work collaboratively within a large and complex organisation? Would you like to be a part of an Award winning Counselling service. If so, you may be interested in joining our team.


The role

Due to increased demand and an expansion of the service we are offering a temporary role - working two days per week - within our counselling team, which is part of the wider HR function.

The contract is until 31st March 2025 with a possibility that this role may become permanent in the future.

The roles are fundamental to the provision of a highly responsive, professional and credible confidential support service, helping employees in achieving their business objectives by providing counselling and wellbeing support.

We have circa 4,500 employees across a diverse range of service areas and additionally we provide counselling services to circa 160 schools.

The role requires an individual who can manage a professional caseload commensurate with skills and experience as well as facilitating workshops on topics such as Menopause, Grief and Loss, Sleep, Assertiveness and Trauma.

The post holder will provide assessments and counselling for service users who suffer a range of common mild to moderate mental health problems related to both work and personal issues.

We are currently delivering all of our appointments via Microsoft Teams or telephone but expect to offer some face to face appointments, Workshops, and support groups in the future from our office in Lincoln.



About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

Have a minimum of 18 months professional counselling experience preferably having worked with time-limited counselling models within a large, complex, and diverse organisation.
Have a minimum of a Level 5 Diploma in Counselling and be a member of the BACP and work within their Codes of Practice
Be competent in the use of Microsoft Windows and Office software.
Have a proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Be able to facilitate and support health and wellbeing workshops.
